Meet Mustafa Ahsan Siddiqui
Written by a senior, for seniors — from one curious learner to another.
“You're never too old to learn something new. I'm living proof.”
Mustafa Ahsan Siddiqui is the founder of the Never Too Old with Mustafa™ series. A retired financial and consulting industry executive, he bought his first computer in 1983 and has been a curious adopter of new technology ever since. A grandfather of eight who has traveled to more than sixty countries, he writes from his home in Minnesota.
It started in 1983
I bought my first computer in 1983 — an IBM PC. Most people I knew thought it was a curiosity, maybe even a waste. But I was hooked. I wanted to understand how the new thing worked, and what it could do for an ordinary person trying to get through an ordinary day.
That curiosity never left me. Across a long career in finance and consulting, through raising a family and traveling to more than sixty countries, I kept saying yes to whatever came next. And then one day I noticed something: many of my friends — smart, accomplished, wonderful people — had started saying no. Not because they couldn't learn the new thing, but because someone, somewhere, had quietly told them they were too old.
That's the moment this series was born. I wanted to sit down beside my peers, pour the coffee, and say: it isn't true. You're never too old.
The mission
Every book in the Never Too Old with Mustafa™ series is written the way I'd explain something to a friend at my own kitchen table: plainly, warmly, and without a drop of condescension. Big type. No jargon. No assumptions about what you already know. Just honest help from someone who has been exactly where you are — and found that the road ahead is still wide open.
A life of saying yes
